This page provides a list of recent updates to EZReader. Use the information here to determine if you want or need to update your copy of EZReader.
Updates are free!
To update your copy of EZReader, just display the EZReader EZTaskbar and press "U" on the keyboard. Updates take less than a minute to complete. EZReader will restart when the update finishes. When you do an update, you get all updates at one time.
EZLaunch displays a full-screen list of EZReader apps, or even non-EZReader apps. The user will scroll through the app list using the up/down arrow keys. Whenever a new app is selected, EZLaunch will speak the app name. The user then presses ENTER to open the selected app. EZLaunch will say "Opening AppName" to confirm that it received the user command.
When the user exits an app, EZLaunch will reopen and speak to tell the user it is back on the screen and which application is currently highlighted. The user can then use the up/down arrows to select a new app and press ENTER to open the new app.
Users with adequate vision can also use the mouse to select an app, or double-click the app to open it. Like all my EZReader apps, the user can change colors, font size, bold attribute and font name as needed.
This new text editor is operated entirely by keyboard, giving blind users access to file creation and editing capabilities.
The Low Vision Editor uses speech to read the document content to the user and to speak actions taken from the keyboard. The user can stop the reading at any point and the last spoken word will be highlighted, allowing the user to easily replace or edit the current word or enter text at a specific location.
From any location in the document, a user can walk through the document one word at a time, speaking either the current, next or previous word. When a word of interest is reached, the user can replace/edit that word, then have LVEditor continue reading the document.
The Low Vision Editor supports footnotes, bookmarks and chapters. It also provides spell check and thesaurus capabilities. Search options are available to help the user navigate quickly through a document.
