The EZReader File Editor allows you to create and edit text files.

It can also read files to you. You can control the volume as well as the reading speed.

The File Editor can also adjust colors, fonts, text size, character spacing and more to best fit the user's vision constraints.

During installation, EZReader creates several file folders, containing sample files.

Sample Folders:

Files in the System folder can be edited but not renamed nor deleted. These files are used by EZReader to determine how information is processed and displayed.

See the Help section on Import for details on importing books via flash drive.

 Editor Main Screen

The EZReader Editor screen contains a toolbar and 3 textboxes. The upper left textbox displays the book title. The upper right textbox displays a search term. The lower textbox contains the content of the book.

The user can scroll through the book using the mouse, keyboard or with gestures.

To search, type in a search term and press enter or press the Search icon. The book will scroll to the next occurrence of the search term in the book content. EZReader will beep twice if the search is not found. Search is not case sensitive.

The EZReader editor main screen has 2 rows of navigation/action icons. The right-most "Menu" icon is used to move through the rows of icons. Right-click on the Menu icon to move through the rows of icons in the reverse direction.

The Menu icon consist of multiple dots, where the number of dots tells you how many rows of icons are available. The dot with the white center indicates which row is currently displayed.
